Rane On Me :/ #DJProblems

This Past Weekend I had the most amazing and the most terrible one I had ever had. I thought I could trust someone I knew but I guess I couldn't even do that!
Long story short, I got double booked for events and I needed somebody to cover for the last hour of the event. I let him cover the event then I get my stuff back and the Two fader knobs are missing and the power button to my left turntable came off. I was trying to figure out how that could happen if they treated the equipment like it was their own. I was so angry at the fact they treated it like it was pure trash. I was filled with rage but somehow I calmed down and found out what really happened. The guy offered to pay for the damages but to me that still wasn't enough.
First expectations are everything and to me that was my first/last time letting him cover any of my shifts.
Moral of the story; Don't trust anybody I don't care who they are, work around your schedule and figure out a way to do it yourself before even considering putting your reputation on the line.
